We would like to invite you to the Central European Cup 2023 and Pre 25th FAI World Hot Air Balloon Championship and the Szeged International Airshow which is the largest flying event in the region and the BorTér wine festival.
The event will run 7th to 14th September 2023.
The entry fee is 600 euros including gas, electronic map, Tubes, dinner on the Opening Ceremony and Awards Ceremony and breakfast for 4 persons/team, free camping facilities on the airport.
The entry closing date is 2nd June 2023.
The first gas refuelling will be after the first flight. The entry fee is not refundable except if the Event is cancelled. Printed map is available if you request it, the price is 10 EUR / piece. You should pay it with the entry fee.
Lunch (12 EUR/ person) and extra breakfast (8 EUR/ person) are available.
The Central European Cup hot air balloon competition is open to all NACs which have met their obligations to the FAI. Pilots-in-command shall have been authorized to act as pilot-in-command of that sub-class of aerostat for which the event is held, at least twelve months prior to the start of the event. Each pilot-in-command shall have accumulated at least 50 hours as pilot-in-command. The maximum size category is 3400 m3. Maximum 60 competitors will be accepted, first come first served. We will apply the AXMER 2023.
The Event Director will be Paolo Oggioni (ITA) and the Deputy Director will be Zoltán Pálhegyi (HUN).
Fiesta pilots are welcome too but they can make passenger flights with organisers’ boarding pass only.
We will use the BLS and WhatchMeFly for scoring, Balloon Tubes for live tracking of the event and Balloon-tracking as the official event management system.
